ChatterBox: a self-maintaining swarm of minimalist robots with audio 
communication Goals

The ChatterBox project has two main goals:

1. to examine the minimum requirements for a self-maintaining robot 
swarm, and to demonstrate autonomous long-term operation using very 
simple robots.

2. to examine functional models of audio communication strategies in 
calling insects and birds, and to apply them to solve problems in 
multi-robot systems.
