Re: If sharks were men - these stories as a whole are beautiful. I've
never been able to find anything 'wrong' with Brecht; his work stands
clear and one can still draw strongly on it. It's odd that his work -
like others of that 'period' (Sartre for example) are rarely
considered in relation to contemporary philosophy; instead, it's the
Heideggerians, which makes me wonder if the latter has not an academic
relationship to technology (beyond the Heideggerian take on it) that
is problematic, i.e. one of withdrawal and regrouping beneath the
signifier of unadultural military/industrial/electronic power.
