*WHY DO ACTIVISTS HATE THE CORPORATE MEDIA?*
 
Activists outraged by the way that demonstrations or mass actions are 
presented in the corporate media often find that when they do actually 
get to talk to the journalists responsible, the latter seem honestly 
puzzled.

They seem to genuinely feel they are providing a straightforward, 
objective view of events, and cannot readily imagine how they could 
reasonably recount them in any other way.

This brief essay is meant to explain why activists so often revile 
mainstream journalists and refuse to speak to them, for journalists who 
care about the problem and wish to do something about it, and mostly, to 
make some suggestions about what they could do about it.
