I'm not one for promoting products but I found this quite
intersting/funny...
*Automatic CD/DVD Shredder
Protect your sensitive data*
Many of us have turned to the almighty paper shredder as a easy measure
to keep prying eyes away from sensitive data. Now you can do the same
for the data you have stored on your CDs and DVD-ROM disks as well.
Simply feed your disks into the CD/DVD shredder before disposing of them
to ensure that the data on that disk will be unrecoverable. While you
won't end up with the confetti you find with a paper shredder, your disk
surface will be sufficiently scratched and dimpled enough to prevent
recovery of its data. The truly paranoid can run the disk through on
repeated passes, though we've found that a single pass will suffice.
