Subject: Participation in the evening at V2 - Nov 3

I will be doing a presentation followed by a discussion at V2 this coming
Thursday Nov 3. We would like to invite you all to be part of the discussion
via chat.

The evening starts at 7pm in Rotterdam - so it will be 10am for you.

The presentation and the following discussion at v2 will be streamed so you
can follow. You can ask questions and make statement via chat which will be
projected in V2 space on a screen.

In my presentation I will introduce a few themes related to what I am
working on right now - framing them as general questions about computer
culture today.

I do hope that you can participate - if this happens, this will be the first
new event of CALAB!

Look forward to talking to on Thursday

Here are the practical details from stephen kovats <kovats at v2.nl> - email me
if you have questions:

the session will be streamed via the V2 site:

people can either click on QT or REAL on this page and get an embedded
stream, or use their own players (usually a better option)

there will be an IRC chat open, via the same url. If you want to use an
external client for the IRC (SNAK, btw is great for MAC users) the info is:

irc server: irc.v2.nl
channel: #v2_manovich

The event will be Thursday November 03, 19.00 - 21.00 CET (GMT+1), this
should correspond to 10.00 - 12.00 local california time. I will be online
in the IRC 24 hours earlier for about an hour for people to check, test and
say hello.
This will be 10am on Wednesday California time.

There will also be a stream test at that time, so people can make sure they
get the stream properly.
