*SUNDAY 10TH DECEMBER 7.00PM*

*The funky and relaxed Sunday evening new media arts and film event
E²PROM returns to Southend’s MediaShed for another night of music, art,
photography, film and animation on *Sunday 10th December 2006. Mixing
quality local work with international projects the event continues to
explore digital approaches to film and art within the East of England’s
first ‘free-media’ centre. Visitors to the MediaShed in Grainger Road
Industrial Estate can lounge on the sofas, explore the gallery space or
mingle with the artists and filmmakers to exchange ideas and
information, pool resources or develop new projects for future events.

Organiser David Valentine:
“We want to offer an alternative to the gallery experience for art or
the cinema experience for film. Every event is a packed night of
exciting and stimulating artwork where focused viewing sessions with the
lights down are alternated with time to explore the MediaShed space or
just kick back, chat and enjoy the entertainment. The E²PROM audience is
an amazing group of open-minded people from all walks of life and all
ages – all are welcome and everyone should find something there to
interest and inspire them.”

The programme includes a live 'film-performance' combining the music of
1930's popular musician Al Bowlly with footage of the Blitz, documentary
art films from the NetArtFilm Project "5+5=5", two music videos by local
filmmakers for local bands The Composer Brothers and Deferred Success, a
new MediaShed Video Sniffin film from Finland, a short film called
'Dustbin' from South Africa and remix films and music from Solomon
Caine PLUS as exhibition of digital photography by Nina Bosnic and a
video installation from ICA Johannesburg both of which will be available
to view on Saturday the 9th of December also -- from 10.30am until 5.00pm

PLUS: LAUNCH of Southend based INTERNET RADIO STATION SKINTSTREAM which
will stream the audio from the entire E2PROM event out live on the
night. Then will broadcast a regular programme of music and shows from
Monday December 11th.
