Feminist Health Gathering (UK).
19th – 21st January 2007 - in Leeds
To inspire, inform and arm you with ideas
A weekend-long gathering looking at health – in the widest sense – from
a feminist angle.
Lots of workshops, skill-shares and discussions – have a look at the
list on the website. We’re still looking for facilitators & suggestions
& films & musicians… programme at feministhealth.org.uk
The gathering will start at lunchtime on Friday 19th, with an afternoon
of workshops based at the Common Place, 23-25 Wharf St. The daytime
workshops on Saturday and Sunday will be at Leeds University Student
Union (in conjunction with the LUU Women’s campaign and the Women’s
Officer). In the evenings we’ll be back at the Common Place for food and
entertainments.
This is a woman-only event that welcomes trans and intersex people who
feel strong links to the women’s community. We are committed to making
the event accessible to as many women as possible (including wheelchair
access). If you have specific access needs please let us know:
practicalities at feministhealth.org.uk
To be kept up-to-date on preparations for the gathering, and get more
involved, you can subscribe to the email list:
feministhealth-subscribe at lists.riseup.net
Please register for the gathering on our website so that we know how
many women to expect, and accommodate. Unfortunately numbers are limited
by the venues we’re using, so register soon!
