I think yours is a good idea
the idea of flenur is very important to investigate new netowrkin behaviours
also in particular kinds of behaviours growing up with new tecnology kind
of perception.
You've done very well!

I think you are able to investigate in a more conceptual way what a flaneur
is.. in particular using a tool just like the one that you've been creating
and the Walter Benjamin definition of "flaneur" like "the one who's been
seeing things just like they really are".

In my opinion a tool like the one that I see in your url sould use a
semantic search engine.
Some article that can explain you the concept:

http://www.seochat.com/c/a/Search-Engine-Optimization-Help/Search-Engines-and-Algorithms-Semantic-Search/

http://www.semantic-knowledge.com/zoom.htm

To give you some example I think you could use an open source semantic
search engine just like "EMM news explorer"; if you want to find your
right kind of semantic search engine, just take a look to this url, that
explains you also about EMM:

http://www.opensourcesearch.org/wiki/index.php/Newish_Search_and_Networking_Engines

For taking a look to my work with "flaneur" concept (I'm sorry but
writings are in italian):

good luck
