Invitation - NODE.London Subscribers' meeting - Monday 30th July 6.30pm
@ HTTP Gallery.

NODE.London is convening a Subscribers' Meeting this coming Monday (30
July) 6.30pm - 9.30pm, hosted by furtherfield.org at HTTP Gallery, near
Manor House tube - and you're very welcome.

If it's anything like the recent 'burning of NODE.London beach party',
this get together won't be a boring meeting ;) It will be an informal,
very social shindig that will bring together newcomers and veterans who
are connected to media arts in London and/or who have heard about
NODE.London.

Refreshments will be provided, and the evening will feature a range of
quickfire presentations, offering fresh perspectives on how NODE.London
might build upon its new found energy. Each will be 7 minutes long with
14 slides, or thereabouts ;) Topics and speakers confirmed so far
include:

'NM-X - a social networking tool for NODE.London' - by Saul Albert of
The People Speak www.theps.net;

'Interauthorship processes, the Pod structure and dynamic networking
results' - by Ghislaine Boddington of bodydataspace (see the Group
Process document at
http://www.mdx.ac.uk/rescen/Ghislaine_Boddington/theweave/item3.html);
www.bodydataspace.net;

'Explaining what 'open' meant for the March 2006 Season of Media Arts' -
by Ruth Catlow of Furtherfield www.furtherfield.org;

'Potential funding models for NODE.London's economic self-suffiency' -
by Julie Freeman http://www.juliefreeman.co.uk;

'Types of potential audience for NODE.London, and how we might
communicate more effectively with, and increase, them' - by Hannah
Redler. Arts Programmer for the Science Museum's Dana Centre
http://www.danacentre.org.uk.

A few more quickfires to be confirmed - if you'd like to offer one, and
can get your images ready in time, please contact tim at tim-jones.co.uk
and he'll slot you in.

HTTP Gallery is at Unit A2, Arena Business Centre, 71 Ashfield Road,
London N1 1NY - Manor House tube (Piccadilly line then 10-15 minute
walk). Streetmap:

provide: email tim at tim-jones.co.uk. Thanks.

If you can't attend, but want to join the nodel-discussion list (if
you're not already on it) visit
