CUBElab week three : 1 - 6 september 2008
artist-in-residence rich white embarks on his final week of  
explorations in CUBE, manchester.
CUBElab is a residency opportunity at CUBE, where  creative  
disciplines in the fields of art, architecture and design can explore  
issues surrounding the urban built environment in its broadest manner.  
Using the gallery as a base, the resident is free to use the "lab" to  
continue their research into their creative practice. Visitors to CUBE  
will be able to witness the development of work and talk to the  
CUBElab artist throughout the residency.

CUBElab offers time, support and a base in which artists can continue  
their research into the urban built environment.

This year's residency runs from 02.08.2008 to 06.09.2008 with CUBE  
Open winner RIch White, transforming CUBE's gallery space as his work  
evolves and responds to the residency space and to the surrounding  
area of Manchester city centre.

Rich White, a photographic, net and installation artist, is interested  
in how visual information is perceived and why this information is  
meaningful for the viewer. His artwork challenges the viewer to look  
at his work in an enquiring way.
