The Brentford Biopsy is a series of participatory workshops and
exhibition by the artist Christian Nold and the designer Daniela
Boraschi in
collaboration with local people and visitors of Brentford. During the
workshops Watermans gallery will be converted into a live
design/mapping studio for gathering information for digital and
physical visualizations of the local treasures, challenges and issues.
The main activity of the day will be 'Noise Mapping' .
This activity involves people going out to particular local areas and
measuring the decibel levels of urban noises in conjunction with
people's subjective emotional response to them.
