There was a great show by the Vasulkas a few years back at the ICA which really brought home to me the extent of their originality & the scale & depth of their contribution.
I think sometimes people making work that, whilst it clearly prefigures or anticipates work now being done but whose main arena pre-dated the net, get somewhat overlooked (until recently this has also been the case with a lot of wonderful avant-garde film, but I think, hope, things are changing)
