switch is an event that promotes and shows contemporary works of moving
image in a public context. It offers an alternative way to navigate
familiar places, creating new encounters. switch locates itself outside
of the big city and applies itself to the rhythm of smaller places.

VisualArtists working with film/video/animation are invited to submit
works responding to the theme of Balance.

Terms of Participation:

- There is no entry fee for submissions.

- You may enter one work per applicant.

- An artists fee of 250 euro incl. VAT [or relevant currency equivalent]
will be paid per selected artist for the showing of their work. What
does this mean? Last year new VAT laws in Ireland came into being: it
means that the artists fee of 250 euro incl. VAT comes out at about 207
euro [or relevant currency equivalent], as VAT is withheld by the Irish
state.
- Selection: A selection panel will consider each submitted film, and
may do additional selection by invitation, up until the selection
announcement date. The panels decision is final.

- You will only be notified if your film has been accepted.

- The final selection will be announced on 18th November 2011 on our
website.

- We regret that we cannot return any submitted DVDs.
