---About BHOREAL---
BHOREAL is an Open Source interface that allows to control all types of 
software and hardware using a surface with RGB LED-backlit pushbuttons.

You can use it as OSC/MIDI device to trigger samples live, as sequencer, 
synthesizer, rhythmbox, pitch map generator or remote control. It can 
also work in standalone mode as algorithmic and generative driver, 
mathematical simulator, game interface, low resolution LED display or 
any other kind of application you can imagine.

BHOREAL is intended for DJs, VJs, musicians, artists, hackers and all 
kinds of creative DIY people willing to explore a piece of hardware 
which is reconfigurable and reprogrammable.

---The workshop---
Those attending this workshop will learn how to program the interface. 
They will understand compositional options offered and its versatility 
to create games or software control. The main idea is to experiment, 
play and develop software applications with different software 
platforms. It will be particularly valued the integration with software 
applications such as Pure Data, Max, Maxforlive and/or Ableton Live 
(Python control surfaces, M4L), but also AV software such as modul8, 
jitter or processing.

Workshop results will be presented Saturday May 4th (afternoon) at LEV 
Festival 2013.

Some Bhoreal Kit and Bhoreal Slim prototypes will be available, and 
probably a few Bhoreal miniKit prototypes as well. All of them limited 
editions. The workshop will be lead by Alex Posada.

Bhoreal is a project by MID Media interactive design, 
http://mediainteractivedesign.com/en/  an interactive design studio 
based in Barcelona, directed by Alex Posada and lead by a group of 
artists, designers, musicians and creative professionals specialising in 
engineering, interactive design and new media. MID’s origins are found 
in the arts production centre Hangar (Barcelona), a meeting point for 
artists, programmers, designers and creative professionals.
