It's still possible to sell work released in this way. Edition physical
media and records, sell dedications, charge for commissions based on the
code, in extreme cases transfer the copyright.
And revenue from exhibits, residencies, workshops etc. isn't challenged
by this, indeed a raised profile and reduced logistics costs should help
increase it.
