Based on a personal to anecdotal range experience, its a case of
profiling. Just came back from a meeting with a friend who, based
seemingly on her country of birth, is being stopped every time. I have
another friend that, seemingly based on name + skin colour, is being
stopped in borders where the 2 elements clash with local pre-conceptions..
(eg, uk & usa)
As to me, it seems that am being disturbed on the range of stopped,
searched and arrested based on behaviour more than anything else.
(..because they act only after noticing my activities in the place. When
am doing nothing they can detect, they let me through without questions.)
Traveling? Have fun!
