Not just content, they regard the prospect as confirmation of their
virtue. Which is a suicidally dangerous fantasy on their part. The
economic elite in the US have a lower life expectancy than in countries
with a flatter wealth distribution curve. And the Roman citizens who
thought they'd ride out the collapse of their civilization in their
villas didn't.
