But art is art, and not strictly a programming language nor strictly a
intoxicating drug. I was thinking more literally which programming
language could be said to be the heroin of programming languages!?!?

The idea arose after Rob's statement about Minecraft leading his
youngest onto other programming languages, which caused me to recall
the view (by some) of Cannabis as a gateway drug. Not that I am
suggesting programming can be as big a social problem as drug abuse.

It wasn't just that though, in my experience, I sometimes find myself
getting obsessional with whatever I'm coding and don't want to do
anything else, like socializing, going to work, listening to what
people are saying, etc.

But I don't think its the language which causes that, which is why I
said it doesn't make sense.

James.

PS A typo has caused me to come up with a new name for the real world
for those who play minecraft a lot: mince raft.
