<I loathe "Infinite Jest" > do you? it always rather a shock when *someone* one respects & admires hates *something* one loves.
What is you that you loathe? I've read every word Foster Wallace ever published & loved  most of it quite immoderately...most recently The Pale King left me ringing like a bell
 for several weeks...
