technologists, and creative tech start-ups to join the inaugural group
of *Associates
*at* CoLAB *- *SPACE*'s a new co-working prototyping initiative.

*Conceived *in collaboration with open hardware pioneers, Open Desk*, CoLAB
is a *unique co-working environment which positions prototyping at the
heart of creative practice and celebrates process over product.

*Associates* benefit from an affordable, flexible workstation, a network of
curated mentors and peers, and regular involvement in *Open SPACE - *a new
public testbed and exhibition space.

*Positioned* in the heart of Hackney's emergent maker district*, CoLAB *is
a central node in the burgeoning phenomenon of the * "Maker Mile" - *a
local network of artists, designers, open-hardware  start-ups and art &
