Hello!

Are you identify yourself as a female digital artist? would you tell me
your story?

I'm interested to know how you relate to the programming structures,
language, systems and tools that you use to create your work. I'm
interested in finding out your relationship with non-female
digital/creative technologists/developers and if you are dependent on to
them to help you create your work. Is there anything you would change about
the arrangement? I'm particularly interested to know which tools you use,
why you chose them and how much you feel empowered to use them as
creatively or as playfully as you'd like. Do you depend on proprietary
software or do you use free and open source software (FLOSS)? Do you have
to make digital creative work fit around other work/life constraints? Is
money an issue in choosing what you do?

I'd like to hear you story however you'd like to tell me.

If you'd like to participate and would prefer a more structured approach,
please let me know and I'll arrange a way that suits you better ie skype
chat/call, questions etc...

If you don't identify yourself as a female digital artist but you feel your
story is related to it - perhaps you form part of the team that creates
digital work with a female digital artist I'd also like to hear your story.

I am in the process of writing my MA Digital Media Arts dissertation on the
subject of female artists and their relationship with code and FLOSS (there
is still a very small percentage of women who use or contribute to FLOSS
tools. If it seems a good fit, your contribution would be included in the
paper. In any case, with your permission, I will find a way to publish the
stories online. I'd really love to hear your story.
