Thanks Edward,
You're right, the guy on the bike stopped and was genuinly concerned. He
didn't believe I was doing it for the arts, and treated me as a possible
mental case. Only after reassuring with the cameraman would he let me go.
It was done in Gran Via, Valencia, but on a quiet Sunday. I had an idea
about a 'critical mass' of one. People around were minding their business,
the samaritan on the bicycle was the surprise. In the uncut video I
continue down the street on four and out of the picture, but then the focus
turned onto me as a case I felt, which wasn't the point, it should be left
with a "?!" I thought, like in the chess moves, could be good, could be
bad. It's been shown by Screen City in Stavanger, Berlin, Torino, and these
days back in Valencia (Incubarte7 festival). The call for videos
(screencity) was posted here on netbehaviour, I insulted the curators for
charging a fee for submission, turned out I was wrong, it was a fee to the
artist... so to makeup for the ranting I wanted to make a video for them,
it's a one-off for me (or one-iff).
regards, Bjørn
