[NetBehaviour] Are you on Pinterest?

I am by no means a Pinterest advocate, but I do have a survey question.

Many of us fancy ourselves as artists - we like to make decisions,
even if it is only about our own work.

Online digital properties, especially the top 50 trafficked on the
internet, differentiate themselves, not by content, but by features.
Pinterest's killer feature is delete. Compared to the competition,
Pinterest is about curation, and thus they are the only mass online
medium to, not just allow, but enable and promote deletion.

The business model of nearly every large internet company is to juice
every individual for-ever-y ounce of click-y-ness and like-y-ness they
might have. Soak up every drop of interaction and use it to build a
profile which can be sold. While Pinterest's business model is very
similar, it is slightly different in a rather interesting way.

Pinterest helps you boil things down, and as an artist that can be a
very helpful service. Regardless of whether you use the service, you
must register for an account to observe other people's curated sets.

My question is this:

Do you have a Pinterest account?

How do you feel about the trade-off between blogs and wikis?

How do you feel about the fact that your activity on social networks
is monitored and sold to companies whose sole interest is to
manipulate and corrupt you?

Would you rather have no memory, or have to constantly prune?
