thank you so much for this, and of course I hope so and agree as best I 
can.

Second Life is a beast, filled already with debris, excavations, ruins. 
The old MOOs and MUDs are worse, and all of these are interesting, to the 
extent that they survive at all. I never thought there's be such a sense 
of the uncanny within the digital or virtual,  but here/there, it is, and 
it extends, like a contagion or plague, across the entire spectrum of 
thought.
