    Description

*Submissions open for a new media commission with D-Lab and LEVEL*

*Deadline 22 May 2015. Fee £2,000.*

D-Lab and LEVEL wish to support an artist or artists to develop new 
interactive work through a residency at the LEVEL centre. This will form 
a part of LEVEL’s Inter-ACT + Re-ACT project.

D-Lab is an exciting new project, supported by Arts Council England 
through the National Lottery, Derbyshire County Council and Arts 
Derbyshire, launching in June 2015. It aims to bring the best and most 
exciting new media artists and artworks to an online audience.

LEVEL is a co-commissioning partner of D-Lab, based in Rowsley, between 
Matlock and Bakewell, in a stunning RIBA Award winning building. It is a 
development centre for artists in rural Derbyshire, bringign the kind of 
facilities and technical resources normally only found in cities to 
rural Derbyshire. LEVEL is pioneering new arts technologies to create 
digital collaborations and is a home for its world-leading arts 
projects with learning disabled people, as well as offering 
new resources for artists.

The brief is to create a new work or works that will provide an 
automatic interactive performance space/environment for people with a 
learning disability.
