Salary: £35,880 to £41,992 per annum, inclusive of £4,224 London Weighting
per annum.

The Role - The newly created Technical Support Services Department is a
large, university wide operation that provides bespoke technical support to
the Academic Schools, the broader University community and its partners.
The department’s facilities are mainly sited on the Southwark Campus; there
are additional satellite facilities at the Havering Campus.

This professional team of technical staff account for a wide and diverse
range of disciplines including Arts and the Creative Industries, Applied
Sciences, Built Environment and Architecture, Health and Social Care and
Engineering.

London Southbank University is now looking to appoint a committed and
enthusiastic Manager to be responsible for the day-to day planning,
operation, organisation and effective management of Elephant Studios at
LSBU. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing area with opportunities
to work in close collaboration with the Director of Elephant Studios to
maintain and develop the currency of the facilities and to ensure the
smooth running and operation of teaching and other related activities.

About Elephant Studios at LSBU - Elephant Studios at LSBU represents a
multi-million investment by the University to create an industry-ready
media facility that will ensure graduates have the best possible experience
and employment outcomes in a fast changing digital media landscape.

Due to be launched in early 2016, Elephant Studios @ at LSBU will include:
• Studio and production spaces - with lighting rigs and green screen – for
students studying film, photography, sound design and digital design
• ARRI cameras
• A state-of-the-art sound recording studio
• 11 editing suites and two grading suites for post-production work in
film, sound, journalism, VFX and Games
• A fully equipped radio studio with talk studio
• Cinema-style Screening Room (Dolby 5.2)
• A dedicated print room for photography and design
• Computers that run all the major software packages found in a
professional environment
• 'Kit room' with extended opening hours for students to borrow equipment

These spaces are designed for teaching and will support a broad range of
programmes such as Sound Design, Game Design and Development, Digital
Design, VFX, Photography, Film Practice, Journalism, and Technical Theatre.
