I'm on my way to the opening event of Museum of Contemporary Commodities
in Exeter (by Paula Crutchlow and Ian Cook).
Looking forward to seeing the newly commissioned work by Autonomous Tech
Fetishists and Louise Ashcroft.
Any other NBers in the South West of UK?
Cheers!

/at the Exeter Phoenix (tickets here

*What is the Museum of Contemporary Commodities (MoCC)?*
MoCC is neither a building nor a permanent collection of stuff – it’s an
invitation. To consider every shop, online store and warehouse as if it
were a museum, and all the things in them part of our collective future
heritage. You can find out more about it atwww.moccguide.net

*What is MoCC doing in Exeter?*
From 4th to 21st May, we're running a series of lively, and
entertaining digital hacktivist and drop-in activities, artist workshops
and film screenings in our shop-gallery and at partner venues in Exeter
city centre. More details and bookings HERE

*We are all the curators?*
You can browse and re-value our online collection or add your own
commodity to the museum at www.moccguide.net

The MoCC online collection is a way of sharing your thoughts on the
things we buy and sell that are important to you - an attempt to
re-value commodity cultures through building our own community of curators.
Help us create a collection that speaks about current conditions
of trade, exchange and valuing by telling us about the things you buy
(or not) and why they should be in a museum. This doesn't have to be
something you love or are proud of, museums are places of learning so
maybe it's something you think it's important for people to know or
think about for other reasons.
After you've added your commodity you can contribute further to our
research on contemporary commodity culture by giving us feedback on the
experience. Fill in a survey

to tell us more about how you felt about it. We are still developing the
online database so please email us <mailto:info at moccguide.net> if you
encountered any issues or challenges as.
