A new festival for Sheffield celebrating algorithmic and mechanical movement.

A week of performances, talks and workshops celebrating making in
performance; bringing together live mechanical and algorithmic art
forms to make creative processes visible. Including:

- Algorave - club night with top algorithmic and mechanic; dance music
producers from Yorkshire, Japan and the US.
- Dance Performance - industrial clog dance from Lancashire to
algorithmic dance from NYC.
- Open Platform - exploring technology without technology.
- Kinetic Sound Art - mechanisms making music.

AlgoMech is organised by FoAM Kernow and LoveBytes, in collaboration
with Millennium Gallery, Access Space, Sheffield Hallam and Sussex
Universities, the British Science Association and powered by
Dangernoise soundsystem. The festival is funded by Year of Making and
Arts Council, England.
