the young man back from one desert, he
enters another, there's an odd sea
nearby, he doesn't have control of his limbs
he's mocked by his body and soul, his whims
run wild, his thoughts dark and amuck,
he thinks he's run out of luck -
it's always been that way, nothing to show
for a life spent, well, a kind of flow
takes over, he thinks he's not grown older,
something leans into him, caresses his shoulder
