I record foghorns with David Askevold, almost a half-century ago

This recording is part of an audiotape, made around 1971-73, with
David Askevold; I think it was near Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. I
remember very slippery rocks; it was around midnight, rain and
wind and fog. I loved David and his work; he was in my
Individuals: Post-Movement Art in America book, way back when.
He's no longer with us. The recording haunts me; I remember the
pitch-black sky and water, the cold, we were half-way down a steep
slope, letting the cassette recorder run, we just listening to the
wild weather, the fog horn, there may have been some small lights
in the distance, I'm not sure of that. Finding this tape means a
lot to me; I imagine him again, either among the living, or
myself, among the dead.
