Azure Carter vocals, Alan Sondheim, Uyghur dutar

The song has been presented before; this is the version we just
did in New York. I keep thinking of the Holocaust and the dark
holocausts to come. I have no faith that most anyone or anything
will survive the next century or so. We are blind and our general
response seems to be to retreat into racisms, neoliberal enclaves,
strongman governments, cyberwarfares, genocides, ecological
catastrophes, and so forth - the hardening of boundaries, collapse
of discursive modalities into polemic, bullying on a global scale,
arms races. All of us worry this. So this response on the level of
nonsense or whimper. The recording is awkward; we were closer
sounding in the room, and the dutar richer, than the small camera
picked up. But so it is, hope you give a listen, hope you have
some hope.
