Hi Danielle,

Thanks for the interesting calls!  Will check them out.

Do you know of any interpretations of the Mona Lisa that view the sitter's garments as a metaphor for science, technology, and networks, based on the fact that the bridge (the only technological artifact in the background) flows directly into the vortex-like shape of the shawl?

My current hypothesis is that the ML is Leonardo's map and manifesto about geologic time; rivers as "sources" for networks such as cities, technology, and cultures; and technology and stored learning as a network-fabric "garment" rather than essence, in contrast to the human capacity for experience and creativity embodied by the figure (face/heart/hands) with whom we are meant to share moments of meditative connection and communication mainly via "eye contact", facial expression, and interoception (or "proprioception of thought" as Bohm described it).

If this wild speculation has not already been either disproved or "done to death" I may try to submit something for one of the calls.
