the horrors of these nights, the music and its mind, the healing

Sometimes when things get really difficult I turn to music as a
way of dealing with the world. So what does this mean it means
that when I am playing fast it's a kind of meditation when I'm
playing complexly weaving patterns in and out until I get lost in
them and have to back up backtrack it's also a kind of potential
healing, for the moment, in the moment. I'm always amazed at what
comes out it's kind of a flower incenses in a sense a kind of a
rose with pedal after pedal opening up in 2 new domains that i
never conceivably could ever imagine. So this is what so this is
what so this is what I was doing here. I went to sleep last night
and woke up this morning feeling horrified about the fires in
Australia thinking about the fires thinking about what is
happening in Iran thinking about the fact that the world is
almost going to war. and then I turned to music I curled in on
the guitar I curled in on the hasapi I curled in yes I curled in
on the saz I curled in on the violin and then what resulted I
think what resulted was a kind of music that lifted me up. It's
no wonder that I was reading about Mozart and his relationship to
the starling so I thought how music connects to the world at
large how music can be done without really thinking articulating
what is being done while it's being done. And I thought that's
what I'm doing that's exactly what I'm doing here and that amazes
me that it's possible to do that that I can be lifted to such
heights by doing this kind of music where my mind and the
instrument and the sound and the whole sun-rose universe become
one. It's not a question of thinking through ideas in the sense
of language it's a question of moving through a space it's both
universal and personal at the same time. it's a space that I
partly construct and a space that partly constructs me. So listen
to these and Welcome to the world they are in and I hope you
enjoy them as much as I enjoyed being within them. (end of
dictation) The space moving into itself, out of itself, as a
rose, as a rose with its petals unfolding, spreading new
emergences, riemannian space, sheaves and layers, a space which
is inarticulated within any propriety of language, articulated in
motion and trailings, in the being of space itself, in mind
emptied meditative space, in the body on its own, on its own in
the universe, and listen, listen, listen
