the virus as an event or filter; let us call this c.
then c. expanding through a form of scatter semiotics
which has a locus, or basin - which has multiple basins.
then human trajectories contract, neoliberalist transmissions
expand.
let us think about this expansion for a moment.

in the meantime there are lights and organisms.
there is sound with its peculiar ontology of absence and the
exhaustion of absence.
there is sound with its weightlessness and its quality of being,
and its quality of being unobtrusive.
there is sound which is always an event, living life within it,
within the event, or rather the event is life.
it is an embodiment of this absence, embodied in temporality.
it signifies temporality. its moment is always already passing.
it is the passing.

c. is the passing of the witnessing of the passing of sound.
c. is the production of that passing and scatter semiotics
ensures that the passing is one of ruptures and the corrugation
of time.

for which reason, these ducks, most likely northern shovelers,
are for the moment presenting, not as sound but as sight.

and as site, for their endurance, however short and mute,
is more than one with is, is multiple.

just as the presentation architecture weakly embodies time,
mapping lived time and sound onto the deadness of the image,
just as film collapses into the grave of corroded reals,

all these multiplicities, these notes played to truck, beacon,
and plane, these sounds, carapace to an event, needing
activation, mapping, reproduction ( from a production which
never occurred
