Hi Jon and everybody I hope you are all well!

I was reading your e-mail on empowerment and informed choices, and thought to share with you our panel discussions next week, so I wondered if you'd like to add some of our streamed events to your time-table.

OOT Festival 2021 (Feb 1-6)

Features panel discussions at the cutting edge of performing arts and digital tech.

Each panel has a targeted focus:
· I.P and right for digitally distributed work
Who owns your work once it goes online? I.P. and rights for digitally distributed performance is still a grey area. How can we evolve this to protect artists and creators? Simple tools to help will be discussed
· How can the digital space help artists survive?
Looking at sustainable models, how can we better support emerging and mid-scale artists’ career resilience? (via the digital and also the analogue?)
· New models post-Covid
What models have the performing arts explored, developed and refined during the period of Covid and lockdowns? Which adaptations have worked and will serve us going forward? Do we have new methods of best practice?
· How could the future look?
How would you like to see the performing arts and tech sectors co-evolve?
What would be the ideal situations for artists, venues and audiences, and how can technology support them? In a perfect world, how will things flow in and between spaces? If we conceive of the ‘what’, perhaps we can start to look at the ‘how.’

New performances devised/choreographed specifically for live-streaming

As well as these timely discussions students can gain creative direction for their work by seeing new performance that's been developed via Open Online Theatre, and as the platform is monetised, they can consider the potentials of live-streaming for sustainable careers. In the panel discussions they’ll hear experts - artists, academics, technologists - discuss the future of performing arts in the digital space.

Please see the attached brochure for details and tickets are now on sale here <https://openonlinetheatre.org/season/2021-2/>.

I would love to welcome you to our sharings
Stay safe

Kindest regards

Joumana Mourad
