The old guqin (roughly dated 200-400 years ago) has a string
which is very slightly bent near the tuning end. As a result,
an odd higher harmonic comes through. I made a short piece
testing the instrument, and, at the same time made a short
piece. It's not the kind of music played on a qin, but I was
interested enough to experiment. Here is the result, which I
hope will appear on a cd sometime in the next few months.
Everything I create now seems tinged by darkness. I will call
my work (to me), Tinged By Darkness, TBD, to be determined.
Everything I create now, new or old, is testing for errors.
