Their elongated limbs and bioluminescent exoskeletons shimmered softly as
they moved. They encounter a gaping hole in the wall. It has been hastily
created, likely by a previous group of scavengers.
Some, displaying their agility, squeeze through the narrow opening with
ease. Others, with more robust physiques, employ their brute strength to
shoulder their way inside.
The remnants of furniture and technology lay strewn across the floor,
forgotten remnants of a forgotten species.
The air is heavy with the scent of decay and abandonment.
They reach the source of an ethereal light—a forgotten machine, still
functional after years of neglect. Its ancient console flickers with an
eerie glow, casting shifting shadows on the walls.
The room suddenly fills with a low hum, vibrations coursing through the
air. Glyphs and symbols dance across the console's screen, translating into
a language they could comprehend.

The dull hum evolves into a vibrant buzz. Their hopes are shattered as the
machine sputters and dies. A wave of despair washes over them, their dreams
now reduced to dust.

Survival becomes their sole focus, as they navigate the desolation, finding
solace in the fleeting moments of unity amidst the ruins. They huddle in
makeshift hideouts, desperately barricading themselves against the
encroaching darkness.

They become nomads, forever searching for a glimmer of hope in a desolate
universe. They roam from one inhospitable place to another, their existence
defined by displacement and a sense of eternal l--
