Dear all,

2024 begins under the sign of Aux Futurs Ancestraux, an exhibition I
conceived that blends ancestral knowledge and digital technology, and which
accompanies the completion of my thesis on the Decolonization of art and
video games, to be defended in 2024 at FBAUL in Portugal. And I invite you
to join us on the 14th of January for an exhibition visit followed by a
performance by the artist Aniara Rodado.

Aux Futurs Ancestraux immerses us in other representations, landscapes,
narratives, and cosmogonies, and seeks to decolonize our imagination
through the co-construction of narratives born of the encounter between
oral tradition, endogenous knowledge, and the virtual worlds of video
games. This necessary dialogue between different modes of knowledge
requires a paradigm shift. Science and human thought are no longer the only
sources of knowledge; it is now possible to think of knowledge "beyond the
human". Between video, drawing, performance, immersive, interactive video
installation, and video game, this exhibition invites us to reconnect with
that which links us to our ancestral futures, the living.
