nor do i remember that, the contents of that, what occurred,
what had occurred, what annihilation, when. the configuration
of both signifies a torsion or twist, a drop-off. the end of
the drop-off is that there's no end to it.

the end of the joke is the passage of time, manuscripts lost,
remnants of memory, deliverance.
